 Hi! I'm Bri.

I currently work as a library specialist and I can't recommend gay war books to most of our patrons so I'm going to do it here.

This blog intends to collect Queer literature from 1870-1930 in an accessible place. I try to find open access versions of every text. Although I don't intend to create an exhaustive guide, I try to collect as much information and titles as possible. Personally, I focus the most on British literature in English by men—an overstudied topic to be sure, but one I've found ironic enjoyment in.

I also collect books like the ones on this blog. I'll try my best to upload pictures of these titles on their pages.

I completed my undergrad at the University of South Florida in Spring 2019. I was a Creative Writing major and English Honors student, and my thesis was split between those two fields: I analyzed trauma in Siegfried Sassoon's war work and explored his techniques in my own WWI fiction piece. I'm currently earning my Master's in Library and Information Science at USF.

I love writing, reading, video games, photoshop, and apparently sinking an inordinate amount of time into this book blog.

If any linked resources don't work or are US only, send me a message. I'll do my best to replace it or send you the files! I try to keep downloaded copies of all linked book images as backups as well.

Everything is still very under construction—especially the mobile version!

"More than silence"

is from a line in

Seigfried Sassoon's

poem "The Portrait."

The image used as the background for the site log is The Donchester, The Cluett Dress Shirt, 1911 by J. C. Leyendecker.

Terfs and other exclusionists are not welcome here.
